Makes me sad and mad that this was a killing that should have been prevented. Every fucking sign was there and the school and parents failed them. So useless.

Times have changed when friends brought their guns to Rod and Gun Club in HS and no one thought anything about it.

My dad told me 100 times more not to touch the stove than he did his guns. I didn't turn my first stove on until I was 37. Lol

I'm 51 and I still won't touch the thermostat in the house. And it's MY house!

Great story about my dad. I'm living with just my dad and me when I'm 16. He leaves and I fire up a big doobie in the house. 5 minutes later he pulls back up and walks in. I'm panicking and trying to fan the smoke. He says what's that smell. I quickly say it's the furnace like how sometimes it's stinks when you first fire it up  
He says " I gotta get that fixed". I  breathed a sigh of relief.

When I was in high school forced bussing began for integration. There were lots of fights. It was common to see the janitor mopping up blood in the hallway.There were fights between large groups of people swinging belts with large 70's style belt buckles.During that whole time the only gun I saw was a broken down piece of crap that some kid brought in. it was never used. I imagine if that happened today there would be dead bodies everywhere.

when I was that kid's age, I had full access to all the families guns
in fact it was my job to keep them clean and there was hell to pay should my father find
one dirty

When I was a teenager I had one friend that had guns lying around their house all the time. He was always playing with them, pointing them at people, etc. Used to scare the heck out of me because I was taught gun safety at a young age. I can't ever remember seeing ammo or one the guns being loaded, but it still was scary.

I would have promptly beat his Ass...  I don't screw around with idiots like that.  I was taught at age 5 how to handle a weapon.
