Thats another subject I'm going to have to deal with in the next year to so.

I only pay $45 a month for my cell phone but I'm grandfathered in to an old plan that will likely go kaput when I buy another phone.

With T-mobile I don't care about 5G.  It's no faster than what I have now.  I know that because my g/f has a 5G phone on T-Mobile and her speed is no different than mine.

I don't buy my phones on credit so I may be able to buy a 5G unlocked phone and not worry about changing my plan?  That's something that I'll have to figure out.

I keep my phones until the battery life becomes unusable so typically about four years.   I'm on year 2 with the Galaxy S10

Cut the cord years ago. After moving out of the city our over the air channels can be a little bit iffy because of location and depending on weather. We Have Netflix, Prime and Hulu+ with live tv. We switched from Sling because Hulu gives you local channels and Sling does not. I think Hulu is about $75 a month and Netflix is like $13. More than enough.

What is this cord thing people are paying thousands for?
I vaguely seem to remember something from the 80's. '90s or early 2000s :headscratch:

but hey, if somebody feels the need to lose a couple grand, i can come over and take shit in your living room, since that is basically what paying for commercials is.

One thing I'm finding out quickly about philo. Their commercials are ridiculous. You have to sit through 6 minute blocks of commercials on some of the streaming networks.

I looked at the T-mobile internet plans. Their coverage stops about 3 blocks from me in every direction.  lol. WTF.

Is anyone using Plex and if you are, did you pay for the plex pass?

Wondering if that is worth it.

Hmmm... I have T-Mobile. Can I ask them about Paramount+? Couple shows look decent, Mayor of Easttown and 1883.

Cable here. Plus Amazon Prime, who reeled me back in this Christmas. Last cable bill was $230 for the month. Includes "silver tier" (HBO and SHOWTIME) and high speed internet with wi-fi. F'ing expensive!

I had plex pass for a bit.  Unless you're remotely streaming, from say a hotel room, it isn't worth it.  I have a NAS setup at home that serves my house for plex devices.  Around 1300 movies or so.  Bunch of TV shows, etc etc.  If I want to stream remotely I just VPN in and open it up in the browser.  The other issue is you're opening your home network up when you have port 32400 open.  I don't know of any plex vulnerabilities but I'd rather not have to worry about any future ones being found out and exploited.
