The normal cold and flu that people get is different every year. That's why the flu shot is new every year. The prevailing thought is that Covid re-infection with the same variant is not likely. Covid re-infection with a different variant is likely. Covid will mutate until the most contagious, least lethal variant becomes the dominant. That will continue to mutate and each year there will be a risk of infection. The problem is, Big pharma are seeing $$$$ for continual vaccines and the Dems are seeing the power grab. Eventually Covid will just be like the regular flu, but The dems and big pharma are not going to let go without a fight.

let's not forget that Trump gave the go ahead and pushed the FDA to release that "vaccine" and the free pass to big pharma...  :foreheadslap:

I won't use KN95 masks, N95 or nothing.

China can't be trusted with anything including Chinese food!

There's a chance I got it again last week. A real good chance. My daughter in-law has it as does nearly everyone that came to see my Father in-law last week (though he did not have it but was not-a-vaxxed 2x and was just chomping at the bit to get the bnooster). He was in the hospital from Dec. 30th through Jan. 10th. Exposed to all kinds of stuff no doubt. At least that's the working theory. He passed away early Sunday Morning (NOT with/from COVID for the record).

Symptoms for everyone were even less severe than my COVID infection last year at this time. However personally I won't know for certain since at the moment, I have no cause to go get tested other than curiosity and frankly, I've got better things to spend $75 on than to go get an unnecessary test. Next Wednesday I will test because I have to go to a customer on Thursday.

Symptoms were/are; scratchy throat, persistent (several times per hour) unproductive cough. Tired. Like I gotta take a nap in the middle of the day tired. No fever. No diminished breathing. Just plain annoying.

My son and his roommate, both unvaxxed, both mid twenties, both workout nuts, runners, hockey players, had the 'Rona back in October. Both had multiple positive tests. Son was pretty sick for a few days, high fever, cough, etc. Roommate just lost taste and smell, which still haven't fully returned. Son was back to 6 mile daily runs, workouts, and playing hockey by day 7.

They work for the same company and their employer was considering a vax requirement. They both had the antibody test done in December, just to have documentation in case an exemption for previous infection was allowed. Son's antibody levels were very high, roommate's were average.

Weekend before last, my son had the sniffles. He's in sales and visits customers daily so he got tested just in case. Came back negative. Sniffles gone by Tuesday.

They both were planning to travel to a company meeting this week that required a negative test within 48 hours of the meeting's start. So Monday, in between visiting 6 customer job sites, his office, and lunch with his girlfriend and her parents, he got tested again.

Got home that evening and got a call that he was positive.

So roomie and him were both told to stay home, everybody from the office, their boss, who they play hockey with, had to notify all 6 customers he visited. What a PITA.

On the plus side, they are moving today so they had all week to pack.

I had not realized this was an option.
I need to look into that.
Pretty sure I have the antibodies.

I don't think it is. I think it's a just in case thing. You'll be prepared if needed.

You are correct.

But the company they work for is from Europe where proof of previous infection counts as 'vaxxed' in many countries.

Wife and I just recovered from round 2.
Got it before all the testing was out at the start of covid in Dec 2019

We both got sick right after Christmas and were down for close to 2 1/2 weeks.

Asshats here at work asked if it changed my mind about being vaxxed  ::)  ::)

PEACE :D

i went on a river cruise in Europe in early December,
to go anywhere you had to show that you were vaccinated or that you had the antibodies from getting covid
