I left a little blood on the floor of our wood shop when I was in Junior high school. I had turned the barrel of a duck call I was making on a lathe and I took the round part over to the band saw to cut off the excess wood I was clamping on. I learned that day that when a blade catches on a round part you're holding in your hand it will spin, possibly causing your finger to plunge into the blade. It wasn't too bad but I got a few stitches and still have the scar.

I did the exact same thing my first year in this trade in 1989, a small round brass core cut in two. I ended up with a couple of stitches on my thumb. But that was my one and only time I have been injured.

I get why you're not posting much. Unfortunately there is not enough "non political" threads on this forum. I remember when I joined emastercam in 2000, there was more discussions about hobbies. I miss that.
