At the end of the day, these bastards are all thick as thieves, and they will NEVER, EVER vote to kick themselves off the gravy train.  Oh they'll talk a good game, but we all know it ain't gonna happen for realz.

I haven't vote for our US rep since 2006 and every year during our city festival parade I boo him and get funny looks and some good and nasty comments. I tell them he's a liberal with a republican title and he needs to go. The nasty comments are getting less every year so there is some hope.

So let's expand the discussion to include the judiciary. Do you think that there should be term limits for them as well?

I am in favor of either having term limits or alternatively competency tests for eligibility of people either seeking state or federal elected office and for the judiciary.

Sometimes I wish we had a Survivor style vote where the whole country just voted 2 reps and 2 senators out of office. Kind of like saying, "Hey! your vote sucked go find another one." it's unconsitutional and probably wouldn't work but it would be fun to see some of them scrambling to not get voted off.

one of the major problems is that there are no qualified candidates, you're always voting for the lesser of two evils.. people that are qualified, won't run due to maybe one bone in the closet, and we all have at least one...
