They just hang in there and before you know it, you're beat. I hope they win it all.

Watched a little of the Michigan Louisville women's elite eight game (Louisville won).

I think they need some trans gender players. A couple she dudes to protect the paint maybe...add some muscle (physicality).

One thing I noticed watching the girls playing....they make their free throws. Swish every time!

Nothing bugs me like seeing dudes come to the line during the NCAA tournament who are shooting like 50% for the season.

Every player on an 8th grade basketball team can do that.

At that level of B-ball, anything under 75% tells me you are just lazy. It's literally the easiest thing to get better at. All it takes is reps. And once you develop the skill, it's like riding a bike.

NBA, too! Top talent in the world and can't make a freakin free throw. Some are really good, but a lot of them miss them a lot. Especially when the game is on the line.

LOL
Shaq made a pretty good living in the NBA, and he couldn't make a free throw to save his life.
In fact, he sucked so bad that the other teams developed the 'Hack-a-Shaq' strategy to always have the percentages in their favor near the end of a game.

I agree with Greg 100%.
It's a simple matter of practice, practice, practice.

We have a gym in our church building.
Our former Pastor's son used to practice there by himself at least 3 nights a week when he was in high school.
He ended every practice session with 100 free throws, no exceptions, no matter how late it was or how tired he felt.

Not surprisingly, he was pretty consistently in the 95+% range through most of his high school career.

Even though he is a smallish guy for college ball @ 6'1", 185 lbs., his FT percentage and his overall solid play at point guard earned him a scholarship at a local Division 3 private college with a pretty decent basketball program.

I think if he put the same effort into his academic career as he did his basketball career, he may have even had a shot at a Division 1 school.

But the point is, yes boys and girls, it CAN BE DONE as long as you are willing to put forth the effort.
