Glad everyone is Ok.

You never know on those Backroads.

Typical in Texas, Doombasses would turn off their lights at night to shoot across the highway so they didn't have to
Stop at the stop sign.

You do realize had there been an injury, you would have been tested??

This collision has ended my Tool and Die career. I'll make one more 16 mile trip to get my toolbox. I bet the moment of collision went through my mind a thousand times last night.

Sorry to hear that, Del.
I'm glad you weren't hurt, and vehicles can be repaired or replaced, but the mental part doesn't go away any time soon.

My wife had two accidents, 5 years apart, in the same intersection about 1/4 mile from our house.
Both times she was driving down the main road, and someone ran a stop sign from the side street giving her zero chance to avoid hitting them.

To this day, when we pass through that intersection and she is in the passenger seat, she subconsciously puts her hand on the dashboard.

I would love to avoid that intersection altogether, but it is on the street we live on so it is practically impossible.

If you can avoid the place where your accident happened, you will probably have a better chance of putting it out of your mind after some time goes by.

Definitely won't take the country road again.

I'm just all over the place right now. Going to give it more time.

Sucks I need a new ride with these high prices.  I didn't plan on having to spend some cash I have put back at 64 and wife retiring in 2 years.

What truck did you have? The insurance company should be making it right with a similar or better vehicle at no cost to you. If they don't, talk to your insurance, they will have to make it right and go after the other insurance. There's no reason someone should be in a worse off position because of someone else's doing. That's what insurance is for.
