Random NC File Changes

I haven't seen a program get changed like that, but I have had the control lock up when removing the USB drive a few times.  Have to reboot to clear it.

I wouldn't rule out maleficence, but I wouldn't rule out a rare technical error either.  Jumping the gun and blaming one of the operators could come back to bite you if you're wrong.

If this were part of a pattern of behavior, that could be a different story.

If this is the first incident, I want it to also be the last.

AFAIK, management was going to have a talk with both guys, but I don't think that has happened yet.

If nobody did anything wrong, then we have an even bigger problem if a CNC control can randomly change a single Y value in the middle of a program that already produced a good part. 
(That would be strange enough in and of itself, but then we see that the changed value was minor enough so as to not crash the machine, but enough to scrap the next part.)

If one of those guys did do it on purpose, and only that person would know for sure, he would be put on notice that those kinds of things will not be tolerated.

Yes, it is a delicate situation, but also one we can't ignore.
I would love to have a definitive way to prove what happened, but since that doesn't seem possible, all we can do is talk to both guys about it and take proactive steps to see that it doesn't happen again.

Any update Jimbo - did either break under interrogation?
 

Weekend guy has a different manager than myself and day shift guy, so I think it has been difficult for all parties to schedule a meeting simply because we are all never here at the same time.  I am hoping that at least the two managers have touched base with each other, but things like that tend to move at a glacial pace around here.
