After the verdict, the jury forewoman, who declined to give her name, spoke to the media. She said charges should never have been filed against Mr. Sussmann in the first place.

"I don't think it should have been prosecuted," she said of the case. "There are bigger things that affect the nation than a possible lie to the FBI."
"It was the government's job to prove it and they succeeded in some ways and not in others," she continued. "We broke it down and it did not pan out in the government's favor."

Jury Nullification

"This whole case was about a lie that was meant to help Hillary Clinton and hurt Donald Trump. That means there was a partisan political element at the very heart of the case. That would pose an uphill battle for Durham in any case since the trial was held in Washington, DC, where Trump received almost no votes. He is reviled there. Knowing that, the judge should have leaned over backwards to make sure the jury wasn't overtly partisan. He did the opposite, and that's unconscionable. He not only seated three donors to Clinton, he seated another who donated to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. AOC may not have been a friend of Hillary's but she was even more staunchly opposed to Trump. All four of those potential jurors should have been excluded."

Not surprising. We have judge here in Mass. that turned off the courtroom cameras and let an illegal alien out the back door while ICE agents were waiting outside the courtroom.

Joseph and the court officer let the man escape out a rear door in April 2018 after a hearing while an immigration agent was in the courtroom to detain him. The Dominican man had twice been deported and been barred from entering the U.S. until 2027, prosecutors said.

Andto this day the trial has not happened and she keeps collecting her salary of $181k a year.

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, in a 5-1 decision Tuesday, ruled to reinstate the salary and benefits of District Judge Shelley Joseph and to pay her compensation that was withheld since April 25, when federal obstruction charges were filed against her. Joseph has pleaded not guilty.

The court had initially suspended Joseph without pay, pointing to procedures for trial courts in Massachusetts for employees who is indicted for misconduct while in office. But in the new order, a majority of justices agreed that "suspension with pay is more appropriate under these circumstances."

So a Democrat being let off on charges in Democrat controlled D.C. by a Democrat jury overseen by a Democrat judge is really no surprise to anyone living in Democrat controlled state.

So a Democrat being let off on charges in Democrat controlled D.C. by a Democrat jury overseen by a Democrat judge is really no surprise to anyone living in Democrat controlled state.

Yeah, that pretty well summarizes it.
In fact, a liberal Democrat in Washington DC has a better chance of being judged by an actual 'jury of their peers' than anywhere else in the entire country. 

They also have a better chance of being acquitted, no matter how much evidence against them is presented, as proven by the Sussman case. 

Not only was that jury NEVER going to convict him, the one juror stated publicly after the trial was over that she thought the case should never even have been tried in the first place.

There is rumor that Durham is actually putting together a RICO case against Hillary, Bill, and the Clinton Foundation as a whole.

The theory is that while a conviction against Sussman would have helped, his trial did get Baker and Mook on the record testifying that HRC was personally involved in the decision-making process to deliberately target Trump with the phony Russia / Steele dossier story which the media ran full-speed with ZERO fact-checking.

Dunno if there's anything to it, but it will be interesting to see if that is where it is going.
