McConaughey is the king of substance-less "feelgoodism". His grad commencement speeches, and motivational speeches are filled with fancy words that make you feel good but offer no real solutions. There is no legislation being proposed that  does both, save lives and protect second amendment rights. He offered no real solutions, just grandstanding and "common sense" rhetoric.
