Need a File Explorer guru

Click on a folder in the middle of the screen and it jumps to the tippy top of the window occasionally.
 So I guess it's when there are loads of subfolders in that folder it pushes everything up....which is annoying

Try this:

In File Explorer,
Go to the View tab up top
Select your preferred view, I prefer Details.
Then Click on Options (white square)
View tab
Reset Folders

Nautilus FTW?

Did a dive earlier on that....was originally a KDE release but replaced with Dolphin.
Reading, i decided i liked the idea of coloured icons etc as out the box, Dolphin blows.
Settled with downloading and using We10XOSLight scheme, with Ubuntu-Mono-Dark icons, which has brightened it right up
