Took my client and saw Doug and his shop this morning.  Nice machines, nice automation!  They've got a real money printing press going there.

I think we're sold on getting that machine; he's going to pitch it to his board.

Then we just have to decide between Top Solid and Esprit to program it.

Which machine? The U3000? The TopSolid U3000 machine was originally done by myself and the guys at TopSolid USA when I was over there. We fine tuned it, and the post processor, when I visited France. Fine tuning was mainly configuring and adding the Capto lower turret toolholders.

I just gave him a quick overview because we were out in the shop on the shop computer and it is not really specd for TS. It crashes a lot if you try anything too serious. Also, now that most of my job is automation I think I have only programmed about 10 parts in the last year or so in TS. I feel rusty and out of practice. I didn't want to give him a bad demo because I can't remember my way through TS.
