Sandvik: Mastercam+Vericut (edit: and ICAM)(edit2: GibbsCAM)
Autodesk: adding CAMplete to their suite
Hexagon: NCsimul and Esprit
^^obvious market leaders^^

what about the rest that have integrated simulations?
TopSolid
NX
Hypermill
IMS
?
?

For us, a small MFG, I like the idea of an all in one software. We can use TopSolid for everything we need to do. We don't have to buy a different package from a different company and get support from different people. Also only one maintenance to pay.

I'm happy with an integrated CAD and CAM application, but for g-code simulation, I prefer a standalone application.

Even if Vericut got rolled in MC, it would still be offered as standalone. But even then, (and if I was still a MC user), I would still prefer it seperate.

TopSolid has Eureka built in now (if required). I've looked at it, but not seriously used it.

I would need them to be separate. I have one computer for Vericut and another one for Mastercam.

But thats the thing. It is easy for some idiosyncrasies to be absorbed, Have the same CAM application do G-code simulation is like getting the guy that machined the part to do the first article inspection..

Always better with a seperate, second set of eyes. Vericut was developed solely for verification and simulation. That is its task first and foremost.

Neat solution.....

Did you just say bug free and neat solution in the same post?

CAMplete has the same situaion within Mastercam. Plug-In/Chook couple mouse clicks and you're good to go checking code.

As does NX with their ISV. I have a customer that uses NX for simulation on a 5 axis gantry. The ISV seems to work pretty good, at least for the gantry. Their other user on a DMG, had a lot of trouble setting it up, and ran with Vericut. So they've ended up with both sides of the fence.

Vericut has translators for most popular CAM applications, and some CAM applications provide their own. Plenty of people swear by the Mastercam to Vericut tanslator.
