There's a serious moral to that scene and it has nothing to do with the creation vs. evolution debate. Never stop questioning especially when people in power claim to have your "best interests" at heart. Those should be the biggest warning flags possible.

Live those two ideals to your core and it will bring some clarity to a lot of what is going on in the US and many places in the world. The "scientists" live and die by grants. So the question needs to be asked in earnest; who gains the most when any given outcome is "discovered"? Who gained with all the lock downs? That list is LONG and VERY distinguished. Suffice it to say the Government won among others and you and I and the VAST majority of the American people lost. Many lost BIG. I'll even go so far as to say the government won more power and control over our daily lives in 4 months in 2020 than they have in the previous 246 YEARS COMBINED. Oh sure, they may have backed of a touch but they are certainly more powerful and onerous today than they were February 2020. Change my mind.
