Rumor has it around here that the favorite is Matt Rhule who just got canned from the Carolina Panthers.

He's from State College PA, he played for Penn State back in the 90's, AND he is good friends with Penn State's new AD, Patrick Kraft.

Carolina still owes Rhule a crapton of money (something like $40M) so it remains to be seen whether he will be looking for a job any time soon, but if he does I wouldn't be surprised at all if he lands at Penn State.

Since that incident, at least 4 players have entered the transfer portal for Sparty. I'm still boggled by Mel Tucker's $93 million contract before the season. I mean who pays a coach that much money when he hasn't done anything?
