What a joke...

Well, USC did shit the bed, not once, but twice. And to the same team.

USC 42... Utah 43...

You call that shitting the bed?

You're just pissed Ohio State went down like a cheap hooker.... hard and fast to it's rival.

Now, now. My hatred for Ohio State is only equaled by that of Meeeeechigan.

But if a two loss team could get in ahead of a one loss OSU, right or wrong, we all know it would be Alabama.

CNCAppsJames

Alabama... they were living on borrowed time this season and we ALL know it. If there was nonpre-season rankings and all the teams started from the same starting line, they would not even be in on the discussion.

Believe it or not, I'm not pissed SC didn't get into the Top 4. They are a season or two away. They had some quality wins, but had some significant defensive struggles. I'm pleased with the progress since we got rid of hugs Helton. And I'm happy we have moved on from PetenCarrol era retreads.

Some really good bowl games over the weekend. UTSA v Troy was a great game, SMU v BYU was too.

I'm guessing when they begin play in the B1G, they'll be in the West conf. Which is good for them. East conf. much tougher with Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State. Playing against all 3 every year would be a difficult task.

So who's all coming to the B1G? USC, UCLA... and 2 more teams rumored?

Meh...I don't think any of those teams are any more/less tough than a typical bowl game.

USC is 6-4 against Ped State All-Time. (.60 win %)
USC is 6-4 against Michigan All-Time. (.60 win %)
USC is 13-10 against Ohio State All-Time. (.565 win %)

Those are "any given saturday" stats IMHO.

USC, UCLA and I believe Oregon are giving the bird to the PAC-12 and it's shitty leadership. So far. PAC-12 Network was a fucking joke. There was only 1.... ONE TV service that carried it. There was usually 3 or 4 games my wife and I had to go to a bar to watch if we wanted to see it. That was BULLSHIT!

That self righteous shit bird Larry Scott that was running the PAC-10/PAC-12 from 2009 to 2019 ran the conference into the ground. This article spells out what a steaming pile this guy is.

Quote... His hiring looked like a savvy move for a conference lagging in revenue and national reputation. It made sense to bring aboard an outsider who had proved his marketing skills as head of the Women's Tennis Assn.

Bull shit! "...skills as head of the WTA..." Yeah, I think the old adage "There's lies, damn lies, then there's statistics" comes into play with that piece of shit. All he had to do at the WTA is get 5 more people to watch the WTA and that moves the bubble. Nobody watches Women's Tennis. Just like nobody watches WNBA. Just like Nobody watches Women's Soccer. Such a jackwagon..

Rumor has it that the 2024 season the B1G will get rid of divisions.
Stupid idea if you ask me.

You're in for an awakening.
How many of those 43 games were played in Los Angeles? In the snow? Cold weather?
The Big Ten is a lot tougher than the Pac 12.   ;D
But you will still be able to beat up on the B1G whipping posts like Indiana, Rutgers, Northwestern, Maryland (oops the suckeyes struggled with them AND Northwestern).

Mornin' :coffee:

That's irrelevant. If anything the advantage should have been for Ped State, Michigan and Ohio St. After all, coming from those harsh winters to sunny SoCal in January should have been like "oh yeah, we got this".

I was at the Rose Bowl Game 2009... Ped State vs. USC. It felt like USC was the visiting team. No joke. The Pedo fans were NOT gracious fans either. Fuckin RUUUUUUUUUUDE. And after the 24-38 loss, they were even worse. Then I knew how San Franfecesco Giants fans feel at Dodger Stadium. I think Michigan fans and Ohio State fans are better fans.

If that's irrelevant, then so is USC's record against those teams.
You're going with a record where pretty much all of those games have been played in your backyard.
Advantage = home team.

I'm pretty sure I said they were "any given Saturday" stats.

Hard to claim the Rose Bowl as "my backyard" when a hostile enemy with greater numbers invades. "Home Field Advantage" goes WAY beyond geography. Even the Chargers used to feel like they were playing on the road when they would play the Raiders in San Diego.

We were sitting in the "home" section and Sherri and I were the ONLY Trojans in the section. It was hostile AF.

Sorry about the Jay birds, Smitty.

Refs did ALL they could to hand them that game and just came up one play short.

Honestly some of the most garbage officiating I've ever seen in a college game.
