The trouble with that is, who is prepared to step into the power vacuum?  I guarantee there are people primed and ready to take charge and enforce their will over the rest of us.  What are the odds the new government would be better or worse than what we have?

My wife called me to ask if I've seen what's going on in Washington.
I told her no; in fact I honestly don't care what's happening. No amount of worry or hand wringing will change the outcome. All I can do is wait. When the outcome is known then I can decide what to do, if anything.
I have enough shit to worry about with things I do have some control over.

Exactly.  The constitution is the government we have, though it's not followed well by those in power.  If we have a revolution that constitution goes down the toilet, and a new government forms from the most powerful people around at the time.  The puppetmasters would love that.

With 40% of the country thinking the election was stolen, this was to be expected — especially after the unified voice of the media saying for years that if you feel disenfranchised it's okay to riot. Our ruling class, and particularly our media, have been playing with fire for years and I hope that this will be enough to shock them into more sensible behavior. But so far they've not lived up to my hopes.
