If you didn't express disdain for so many of my comments, I might take this more seriously, but I have watched you nitpick me across the forum and on emastercam as well no matter what I say.

But I think you missed my point here (the hypocritical sympathy for her from the Right while there was a complete lack of sympathy for those doing the EXACT same thing earlier in the summer only because the 'mostly peaceful protesters back then happened to be from the Left). Even though I support the stand your ground and king of your castle laws, I'm not a radical, chest thumping, 2-A baby person like many of my friends, family and acquaintances are and like a few of the men on this forum are as well. And so AS I SAID it's always sad when someone dies, and yet she was a trespasser with a VIOLENT mob and those caught inside had no idea whether their lives were in danger or not...I believe many of us here would defend our families without hesitation if such a mob approached our houses, and yet the portrayal of her as a tragic figure when she was part of this violent mob that held hostage all our House and Senate leaders is a little stretch.

Here's what REALLY happened from someone who was actually there.
My sis and bro-in-law were there on Wednedsay.

There are basically two entrances to the Capitol Building, front and rear.
Each entrance has a plaza area with walkways that lead to the stairs where people enter and exit the building.
There were several barricades along those walkways on both sides of the building
The barricades were forcefully pushed over on one side by some over-zealous protesters (not sure if it was front or back).

My sis and bro-in-law were on the opposite side of where the barricades were pushed over, so they saw the Capitol Police on their side start to move the barriers out of the way.  Not sure if they were told to do that to prevent the same thing from happening that happened on the other side, but my sis and bro-in-law were allowed to walk right into the plaza area where the steps to go inside are located.  They hung out there for a while as the vast majority of the people had no desire to actually enter the building itself, but they did want to be close enough to be heard by the lawmakers inside.  She told me a few people were leading chants and making short speeches with a bullhorn, then the vast majority also left the area as peacefully as they had entered it.

The small number of zealots who knocked the barricades over and actually entered the building definitely crossed the line between peaceful protesting and rioting, and those individuals should be held accountable for their actions just as those few who incited looting and burning at BLM protests in other places.
