Not to be a conspiracy nut but I can speculate. It doesn't make much sense for Russia to cut the pipeline. They already control the supply side of the pipe.

It might make sense for the Ukraine to cut the pipeline, thus insuring that Europe can't change their minds and make a deal with Putin to turn the gas back on.

It makes prefect sense that Ukraine would do what to kill the pipelines as it eliminates Putin's
greatest leverage with Western Europe
No pipelines would be a benefit to the US gas industry, but FJB is doing his best to destroy that
If Biden is successful we will be joining Europe, freezing in the dark before too long

I just can't believe Ukraine has the ability to do such a thing without help. Do they have subs? Do they have a way to accurately drop bombs on a pipeline hundreds of feet below without detection other than a couple small spikes on a seismic detector?
