Mastercam .formula files - any explanation of how they work?

Anyone have a good explanation of how these formula files work? They seem to only be used in a limited number of tool paths. 

I remember some time back someone on EMC mentioned them briefly. 


I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.
