Since Trump refused to submit his tax returns for examination even though every other president has done it since Nixon and he also refused to remove himself from his business holdings I think it's understandable people want to see if he used the office of President to enrich himself.

Might rethink this lie you put out here. Per your article there was this part. I underlined the part you skipped and/or missed and/or left our and/or didn't care to think about it's true meaning. The IRS is required to to conduct an audit and found nothing. Still have found nothing. That was underlined also. Oh yeah I have no idea about things that's right.

QuoteThe IRS is required, under its own rules, to conduct an audit of each sitting president's tax returns. Tax returns are typically, by law, considered confidential. However, the IRS is also legally required to release tax information in specific situations. One such situation is when the chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee makes a formal request for these records.

The former Presidents that did they all released them on their own volition. By Law he was not required to do so and by the letter of the law there is not a thing wrong with telling everyone to pound sand. The justice system is meant to support the laws on the books. Part of that is taking a matter all the way to supreme court. He lost and to think that is a victory like I have said is sad thing. Thinking otherwise is as it is great victory for freedom and liberty in this country shows a lack of respect for the law.

So by your comment then you are admitting that every President before Trump was being investigated by the House Ways and Means Committee? The reasoning being why their Taxes returns were made Public record that again you went a personally verified since you are such a concerned citizen?

On no that is not the case!!!!

They did because they choose to!!! Not because they were required by law too!!!

"Presidents aren't required by law to release their tax returns. Nevertheless, between 1974 and 2012, every president but Gerald Ford has made a voluntary release of the tax returns they filed while in office. Ford released no complete returns, but released 10 years of summary data including gross income, taxable income, major deductions, and taxes paid.

This tradition of voluntary tax return disclosure ended in 2017, when President Trump declined to release any personal tax information. Trump has offered various reasons for keeping his returns private, but he has frequently insisted that he won't make a release while his returns are being audited by the IRS."

I didn't realize TRADITIONS made laws?

my opinion on this - He said he would release his returns, but has refused to do so, most likely because it infuriates the D's beyond measure.

I also believe that if they were to be released, one would see a bunch of shady (but legal) shit to get around paying. And I think it would show that he is not worth as much as he likes to people to think he is.

Also, if Biden or Trump are really the best either party have to offer, we are fucked.

Oh I think there are people who would be better presidents than those guys but two things:

They would never win a hyper partisan primary.

They wouldn't want to even try to lead this country in this toxic political environment.
