you're interpretation is that the right wing media amplifies certain stories, creates outrage, and then the outrage becomes the story. (If I understand you correctly)

What I'm telling you is that there are stories about things that cause outrage, by both left and the right. Outrage sels, and there is money in it, on that we both agree. the MSM only wants the stories that would cause someone who votes like you to be outraged. That's why you hear stories everyday about the Proud Boys and the Oathkeepers, and stories like a black person being victimized by a white person always show up on the news.

If the story would cause a person who votes conservative to be outraged, they ignore it. And you hit on it. You don't find those stories interesting. You've heard of the proud boys and oath keepers, you've probably never heard of Jane's Revenge that is threatening churches all over the US because of the recent Abortion ruling.

You've probably never heard of Michael Brown that was killed by a cop in my hometown. If you think that you have, you've heard of Michael Brown that was Black. White Michael Brown was killed by a cop in Troy, Mo. a lot of people thought it was an unjustified killing and there were protests here. it happened 3 years before Black Mike Brown was killed by no national media covers stories about white people who are killed by cops because there is no left wing outrage in it.

During 2020 CBS ran a story about a black man who was tied to a tree and harassed by white men. it happened during the Floyd riots. That same day an 80 year old man was praying the rosary at the base of the St Louis statue in St Louis, Mo. A BLM protestor tried to get him to leave, because he thought that the statue of St Louis was offensive. He blew an Air Horn into the man's ears to get him to stop praying but the man continued praying with out offering resistance, then he got pushed over but the man peacefully kept praying. Then The BLM protestor beat him to a bloody pulp when some other people stepped in to assist. The 80 year old man survived the attack but spent several days in the hospital with permanent hearing loss. That never got reported on CBS. That was uninteresting to a left wing audience. That wasn't the outrage they wanted to sell.

This is why there is a right wing media. Yes, they also sell outrage. Yes, they also make money on it.

Is there anyone here who truly believes any media outlet of any kind is trustworthy?

I used to think that ship sailed long ago but, as time goes on, I'm not sure it ever existed.

That's a pretty broad statement. There are, of course, no perfect news outlets of any kind. But some are certainly better than others.

Everybody gets their information from somewhere. I just don't get why people go to places that just flat out lie, make shit up, and intentionally twist stuff out of context.

QuoteIn a May 2016 interview with The New York Times, Rhodes described how his team "created an echo chamber" to help garner support for the Obama-negotiated Iran deal, explaining that experts cheerleading the deal "were saying things that validated what we had given them to say."

The 2015 deal, which lifted economic sanctions on Iran in exchange for limitations on the country's nuclear energy program, had been touted as a major foreign policy achievement of the Obama administration.

Of the deal's opponents, Rhodes said in the NYT interview: "We drove them crazy. We had test drives to know who was going to be able to carry our message effectively, and how to use outside groups like Ploughshares, the Iran Project and whomever else. So we knew the tactics that worked."
