The thing about Trump is, it's not really about Trump. The deep state and big mega corps have grown too large. They now fully control government. The "elected" politicians are there to serve them, not the people. Trump was not beholden to the deep state or big corps. He was already a billionaire, he was already famous, total narcissist, etc. He was not there to serve them. They could not let that stand. For most outsider politicians, they are overwhelmed and overtaken by the deep state and big corps in their first term. They do what they must to stay elected and to get to participate, or they are ran out.
