I was in a gun store with my son and daughter when they were in their teens.

Daughter pointed out a tee shirt and said, dad, you need this...



I looked at my son and said, awe, she thinks she's pretty.

She is actually pretty, just didn't want her getting a big head about it.

This actually happened at my house. It was not planned or intentional, just bad timing on my step daughter's
part. The look on the boy's face was a hoot, but I was civilized and didn't kill him or anything

I always told my daughters when they were younger that I would be sitting at the kitchen table in a wife beater with a can of beer running a cleaning rag through the shotgun when their dates picked them up.

Oldest had a boyfriend at the house one time. Before she could leave I told her she needed to do the dishes. Boyfriend looked at me and said you should get a dishwasher. Told him I had one and if he helped her they could get out of there sooner. 😁

My sis told me one poor kid looked like he was going to shit himself! 
He never came back.

Another one of my niece's boyfriends commented, "Hey, nice shotgun. Is that a Ruger Red Label?"
He is now the son-in-law.

my FIL when i was dating my wife always was either skinning some animal or cleaning his guns or else reloading, kept me on my toes, but he always offered me a beer every time i came over
i just happened to be cleaning guns when daughter brought a boy over
