I would use an HD antenna if I could, but where I live, I'm surrounded by trees and there is too much metal for me to get any kind of reception. The only way I could make it work is to climb a tree and install an outdoor antenna and I don't think my hoa would go for that. 

I bought an Antanae from amazon 200 mile reach.

I live in a crapass apartment. I attached it to the railing with Quick Ties thereby not damaging any existing fixture.
I am ground level and it is prolly 8 ft off the ground.

I pick up 37 channels all local and Kentucky.

sometimes I delete the Kentucky ones. (I'm past sesame street)

And Kentucky is the reason I still get "The Three Stooges"

I will look it up. and I had a pre existing cable inlet. easy peasy.

took out the old cable,and put my cable in.

It also has a remote that turns the Antanae.

Not only do I get the basic alphabet channels. I get NPR and a Zillion old shows on broadcast.
Stooges, lucy show all the old westerns and crime shows, BBC also a LOT of 30 minute Mop ads.
and 5 or 6 solid shopping channels.
