the MSM is both reporting the story and telling us this is no where near as bad as Trump.

It's more like they are getting out in front of the story instead of investigating it.

Lines like:
---They were kept in a closet but the closet was locked.
---They contained classified information but no nuclear secrets.

Gag Me! You don't have to be a genius to know who is feeding them the information. And they will investigate only as far as the papers they are given

They didn't use the "When Biden found out that they had classified documents they returned them immediately while when Trump was told repeatedly to return the documents that he knew that he had, he still refused to return them"?

That's probably not a topic of discussion on right wing sites. :)

Nor should it be
As POTUS, Trump had the power to declassify secret documents which he did.
The raid on his home was a political hit, not a legitimate investigation because
the documents were no linger secret.

As VPOTUS, Biden did not have the power to declassify secret documents.
Storing secret documents at a CCP funded think tank and his home is a crime

Trump can't just say that they are de-classified and 'poof' they become declassified?  There is a procedure that has to be followed?

It seemed that Trump was the *only* one who claimed to have, or claimed to know that he de-classified them or that they were declassified?

He can't just 'poof' de-classify foreign government's military defense/nuclear capabilities documents? That requires a separate procedure?

I'm posting those in the form of a question because I'm not 100% sure.

Yes, actually he can.
Congress passed the Presidential Records Act back in the 1970's to allow Presidents to keep documents in their possession after leaving office.  The act was revised in 2007 or so, and there were a few Executive Orders pertaining to it issued by former Presidents GW Bush, and Obama.

My understanding is that it is at the discretion of the President when dealing with classified information, and there really is no written procedure other than the President deciding what documents can be de-classified.

The revision of the act also DOES cover Vice Presidential documents but I'm not sure whether VP's have the same discretion as the President with regard to the classified stuff.

Either way, Presidents Bush, Obama, and Trump were all covered by the same act, so if one is to be prosecuted they should all be prosecuted.

Obama should just say he declassified Biden's stuff.

Then I'm sure my Republican brothers would be like "well, never mind then." :hrhr:

You should all watch the press conference going on Now.

They refuse comment because this is the "DoJ review".

This is a "Process"

and its being "Reviewed"

Again for "the millionth time this is a Process"

Nope.....This is an "INVESTIGATION"!!!!

and they refuse to say that word....Too Funny.

Watch Karine Dance around the word everytime. ;)

I'm good with that as long as the "well, never mind then" applies to Trump as well
