I think Pence is a bit of GW style Neo-Con. I think he would be conservative on social issues but would perfectly fine growing the size of government, military engagements around the globe, and debt if it benefits his big business allies.

Pence is too rigid for me.

Personally I don't think it even matters anymore.  We are screwed.

It really does seem that way.
The two major political parties are both corrupt to the point where we can't tell them apart.
Career politicians on both sides, and the unelected Washington DC bureaucratic establishment are the real problem.
Trump came along and upset the whole system by thinking he could drain the swamp, but he found out how big and how deep that swamp really is.  :foreheadslap:

I don't think Pence grew Indiana's government. There's a Sunday Indiana show I used to watch that had a democrat who would complain Pence wouldn't add things that she thought should be added. I don't remember what the "things" were but they were social in nature.

+1. IMO, the only hope is the people rising up against the gov class, be it through election or by whatever it takes. The problem is the people have bought into the R vs D charade that keeps the powers behind the politicians well fed.

It's gotten so bad that someone like George Santos can bamboozle both sides to the point of ending up as a Republican getting elected in a typically blue district by saying what ever voters want to hear.

I can't help but wonder if this guy may have set the precedence for future politicians. Lip service was bad before. This guy wasn't honest about anything.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I became convinced some time ago that Republicans never really wanted to fix Roe V Wade. They just wanted to fund raise off of it. And they were probably worried when the court did, in fact, overturn it.

I think the same thing is true with Democrats and poverty issues with minority groups. The "tell" there is when they treat a black person who votes conservative with vitriol. They don't really want proof that a minority can rise up out of poverty without government intervention.

Different sides of the same coin. There is a worldwide change happening. The global elites think they need to save the world through controlling every aspect of peoples lives. At the same time they create even more wealth and power concentrated in fewer peoples hands. All of the dystopian futuristic movies where the elite live in lavish towers while the rest live in dirty poverty seems so impossible compared to the world as we know it today, but all the foundations are being laid for that to be the world our great grandchildren live in. Possibly even sooner.

I've been amazed ( not really ) that retiring senator Leahy from Vermont gave an interview where he stated that pretty much ALL Washington politicians could give 2 craps about the people. Their main goal is re-election. Nobody really seems to care. Something like that should have caused an outcry from John Q public. Instead. Nothing.

One thing Trump did do was show us how deep the swamp really is.

From day one I said this is a massive cover up of Biden family crimes. The DOJ collected any incriminating docs to keep them from House investigations.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/justice/doj-rejects-jordan-requests-biden-classified-docs-special-counsel

In the end special counsel/DOJ will say that Biden probably broke the rules in regards to classified docs, but he didn't mean to so no charges. Similar Hillary's classified email crimes.

He's mentally incapacited. He'd NEVER face charges at this point in his life no matter how many children he molested.
