Here's Johnny!

Just wondering if anyone has any vintage gaming systems? My son and I have started picking up some old systems.

There used to be a a website, theoldcomputer.com, that an emulator and hundreds of ROMs for old Nintendo games. I used to play those occasionally. I think they got shut down though. I'm sure there are other ones out there.

We are buying the vintage units/ games. We have a lot of units from some PONG consoles up to Nintendo Game Cube. Having some fun finding things and making it work....graphics are horrible from previous systems!!!!

I have some vintage stuff in my attic.
Mostly old Nintendo and Sega Genesis.

I also have some Sega Master System games and a console.
I can't find the wires to power it or connect it to the tv, but afiak it still works.

If you are interested in anything I have you can PM me.

I still have my C64 and a ton of games. I don't think it works though.

About 6-7 years ago, I sold my childhood Atari 2600 and about 60 games (including instruction books for them) to a guy on craigslist who had a a retro gaming store. I no longer had the needed adapters, cables, etc to get it to work with modern equipment. Besides, about 20 years ago, you could download emulators for almost every system imaginable at classicgaming.com. So I've got an emulator and 300-ish games for it now. It kinda sucks using the arrow keys and spacebar, but it's enough to scratch the itch when the desire strikes.

The emulator I used to run allowed you teach inputs from a wired USB XBOX controller.

Interesting. I'll have to see if my Atari emulator has similar capabilities. I never really thought of the option since I don't have any controllers anyway. Good to know. Thanks for the tip!
