"Best" and "cheapest" on the market
what say you? we typically by Teckniks holders
trying to sell this to management, i,e, just get it you bafoon

We have a Haimer and use mainly Lyndex holders with "some" Techniks thrown in based on availability...

As all of our machines have at least am 18k RPM spindle, some 20k, side lock holders are difficult....

Based on RPM, finish requirements, cutting feeds we find MANY reasons beyond cost that drive the use of shrink fit holders.

I know, doesn't help your "low cost" question but as you are more aware, cost isn't always everything.

we had a HAIMER system that is about 15 years old and it turned into a boat anchor as they no longer carry the parts to service the machine so we went to a Techniks System instead. works great at half the price.
we use Techniks holders. they seem to hold up good.

We have the cheap china one that we got from Mari-Tool about 2-3 years ago.
It doesn't get used everyday, but it works. Doesn't have a cooler though.

We have had this one for a few years. It was one of the cheapest quotes we got. It woks well. No complaints. For tooling we use Iscar and some Haimer.

Does mapp gas torch count? That what I use at my shop.
Rego fix press fit collet system seems to be awesome in all aspects except for price. Never had a balance problem in their associated size range.
HSK 63s never get loud at 20k and HSK40s and 50s never get loud at 42,000 RPM or 36,000 RPM spindles, respectively.
Ran a heimer shrink fit last week in HSK 50. Got super loud at 36,000 RPM. But reasonable noise at its rated 25,000 RPM.
Kind of surprising that a press fit assembly from rego fix is so problem -free. Yet one solid chunk of a shrink fit holder from heimer are unbalanced.
