You know how it goes these days. You aren't allowed to like someone who has a different opinion. 

I think that it's mandatory to call them names too but I'm not sure on that one.  :D

I don't think I have name called Smit other than saying he was hard headed. I don't dislike someone because we disagree.  I dislike someone because you can't have a conversation with them.

That comment wasn't aimed directly at you. It was meant to be sarcastic and silly and a generality.

Our neighbors across the street are good friends and happen to be Democrats. We just don't talk politics with them. Two weeks ago they called from a local dive bar to see if we wanted to meet them for a beer. We closed the place that night. I haven't been that drunk in years. We didn't talk politics all night, just had a good time.

Most of my political opinions are assumed. Most of the time I'm asking questions that challenge someone's post. So in that respect you're right on point
