LOL, They didn't need to do a study to know liberals, especially younger ones, are mentally troubled. It's the whole liberal playbook. Create emotional outrage, establish triggers, feed dependency on that emotion, then exploit it.

Oddly enough, most of the crazy female liberals I've seen are usually unattractive middle aged white women.
