Quote from: neurosis on March 29, 2023, 06:35 AMThere is obviously something more going on here than blaming the tool or the criminal. Why do our children feel like the only resolution to their problems are to kill anyone who's wronged them? They don't seem to have this problem in any other Country. The only two arguments/solutions we talk about is more guns (arm the teachers) or less guns.

19 Countries with the Most School Shootings (total incidents Jan 2009-May 2018)

We have adopted a policy in schools of zero tolerance for violence. It sounds like that should be common sense but it's backwards. If a kid is bullied the teacher are responsible for removing the bully. If a kid get's bullied and he retaliates by punching that kid in the nose, he is now on par with the bully and treated likewise. the problem is, the teachers are not on there to protect kids from the social media bullying that takes place. So the social media companies try to prevent the bullying, but bullies are sneaky and they get around all of the fences put in place. When I was younger, a kid would not stop giving me a hard time on the school bus. I put up with it for a good while, but eventually, I bloodied that kid's nose. That stopped the bullying, and to this day he and I are friends. A bloody nose, is better than a bullet. Most of the time, it can be fixed before it comes to blows. but back in the day, teachers jobs was mostly to keep it from going too far, not to sanitize kids lives from it.

Quote from: neurosis on March 29, 2023, 06:48 AMAre you really sure that it's only the "left politicians"?

No, both sides do it, it's just the left that triggers people to violence, or at least that is the ideology of the majority of mass shooters these days.

I have long said the loss of the "bully system" would come back to bite us. When we grew up, for better or worse, the bully system forced everyone to accept their reality and current place in life. They had to persevere and look to the future if they wanted a different outcome in life. Nowadays everyone is told they are special and everyone gets a trophy. The problem is, kids see the difference. We are not all the same. Some are taller, better looking, faster, stronger, more athletic. Some are smarter. Some have more money. Kids see that but can't reconcile that with the "everyone is special and equal" BS they are being fed. This creates anger and hostility.

Lot's of factors.

The achievement trophy generation was raised to believe that they are a special little flowers. That their best is good enough for whatever it is they desire. That their self esteem should not be coupled to reality.

When many grow up and discover they are losers, that their best qualifies them to be a barista at Starbucks, and that their irrationally high self esteem is worth exactly nothing to the rest of the world, they get pissed.

Couple that with being told since childhood that global warming is gonna kill us all before they turn 30, you can kinda see where the nutters out on the frindge say fuck it all and go off the deep end.

Quote from: YoDoug on March 29, 2023, 06:42 AMBecause modern liberalism is all about triggering emotional outrage and using that to suppress rational thought ensuring total control of their followers. The ones that are acting out violently are the outliers and the left politicians are willing to live with that as long as they can use it to fit their agenda.
you mean like being jovial, talking about ice cream and sniffing girl's hair in some kind of sick elation on church-going children getting killed before going on a fascist gun people control tirade? That kind of emotional triggering? Kinda sounds like a dog whistle for the 'letter people'.

I believe that social media and kids being raised by electronics (computers and smart phones) plays a huge part in this.  Peoples self worth and self esteem are tied to their online popularity. Being bullied was a lot different when most of us were kids. It was usually only witnessed by small groups and lasted short periods of time. Cyberbullying is witnessed by millions and can linger for years. You can't even move to a different school to get away from it.  :(

Violence is glorified in the US. All forms of media exploit it to grab attention. And it works, from music to video games to news broadcasts, one way of gaining listeners/gamers/viewers is to open up with some story about how violent life is and follow that by live examples. And then to spice things up they conjure up an "us vs them" narrative that encourages both sides to hate the other.

With all I have been through it would be easy to say I want to Kill my Ex or the judge or her attorney.

It would change Nothing.

This man/lady thought perhaps she would feel better for retribution.....She/He is just dead.

I realize any action on my part would only make them right in their false accusations.

and would only make me wrong in my selfishness.

If you Love something or Someone let it go.

If it returns.

Sometimes you just have to let it Go.

Sometimes is the hardest Thing.

But the best benefit.

The solutions will be not be easy nor will they be painless. Translated in English, that means never gonna happen.

Social media is ABSOLUTELY a contributing factor. They have legions of people trained in PsyOps errrrrrr psychology that have taught these algorithms to know us better than we know ourselves often times. Most adults let alone children are no match for it. What does it take? It takes parents doing their f'n job and not giving into their every little whim. Your "boy" feels like a girl, that's a problem. You as a parent work the problem you don't give into it. Your kid "identifies" as they/them? They are mentally ill. It's called multiple personality disorder. Get them the help they need.

Stop over medicating. Stop with the 25 vaccines. Stop with the over processed "food". Stop with the hours and hours, and hours ov video games. Get outside and play. Get off your fat ass and get active. Put down the phone and engage with "real" humans.

What has changed is corporate media and social media are the damp sock puppet of deep state alphabet agencies.
This isn't even at tin foil hat statement. It's a simple fact as to what Twitter and Facebook have testified to in Congress.

A lot has changed, but the core change is the family unit.

Since I was born in 1970, Divorce has changed. mothers working outside the home has changed. eating together as a family has changed. praying together as a family has changed. community involvement has changed(neighbors helping neighbors). School teaching and discipline has changed. personal charity has given way to government aid. Civility has changed. Societal norms of decency has changed. Expectations of achievement have changed. Focus on identity (me vs we).

I could go on and on. Some things are this list are not necessarily bad, in and of themselves, however they are not without consequences.
