QuoteA whistleblower is alleging that the FBI and the Justice Department are in possession of a document that describes a criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and Sen. Chuck Grassley said Wednesday.

Comer, R-Ky., and Grassley, R-Iowa, said the whistleblower claims the document "includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose."

I'm sure this has been common knowledge for years in DC
That this is coming out now means Dementia Joe has worn out his welcome.

Well... when you're a pedophile, AND no longer useful in DC.. even ex-Speaker Dennis Hastert got that memo.

Good. Lock that steaming pile AND his wife up. The wife ought to go away for elder abuse for letting her sick husband play POTUS.

It'll end up being a bunch of stuff that doesn't connect easily. One side will claim it points at something,  the other will say there's nothing there.

And absolutely nothing will come of it....

The media and swamp will make certain of that

If recent history is any indicator you are absolutely correct.

MTG just posted video on twitter outlining the exact crime/scheme, moments later Twitter is down and the page that pops up has some stupid joke and pictures of ice cream cones.

Sad but true.

I hate to be the pessimist, but the findings in any Congressional investigation must be turned over to the Department of Justice with a recommendation for prosecution. That's all they can do.  The Legislative branch cannot usurp the power of the Executive branch, which the DoJ is part of.

Anyone who thinks AG Merrick Garland will sign off on any prosecution of Joe Biden just doesn't understand American politics.

IT.
WON'T.
HAPPEN.

Now, IF a Republican gets elected President in 2024, a new Attorney General COULD prosecute the case, but that's not a given either.

I don't believe that a  sitting president can be prosecuted. But he can be removed first, then prosecuted.

This was the subject of quite a bit of debate when Trump was President.
The DoJ has a long-standing rule against it because it would be seen as undermining the Executive branch.
Honestly, I think if it could be done the Dems would have tried it.

If this latest investigation does produce compelling evidence that Joe Biden accepted bribes when he was Vice-President, that is explicit Constitutional grounds for impeachment against him today as President.

The House could do that, but then the Senate would need to find him guilty by a 2/3 majority.
Again, the political aspect makes it highly unlikely that 16 or more Dems would vote to convict, so removing him from office that way probably won't happen unless there is overwhelming evidence to support a conviction.

But as JP said, the media and the swamp will twist, spin, and otherwise obscure the actual facts to the point where the general public won't know what to believe.

And find out who is actually calling the shots. Because there is NO WAY that pedojoe is making ANY decisions in the White House, none. He doesn't even know what fucking planet he's on.

and therein will be the problem...I suspect there won't be ANY clear cut facts. What there will be is a lot of inferences from whatever information may or may not come out...each side will put it's "spin" on it....

Seriously short of pictures/video, complete recorded conversations, direct and clear messages/emails AND account numbers and transfers of $$$ and even at ALL of that, any repercussions, if there are any, will be some fall guy..ie, Ollie North...

We are through the looking glass here people...

Agreed. I am personally against this impeachment craze that we are in, right now. Impeachment has been cheapened to the point that I fear, that, we are now at a point where every congress is just going to be looking for a way to remove a sitting president for cheap political points rather than working together for the betterment of the country.

I don't like, Biden, I wish he wasn't president, but I hope that the allegations are untrue. It would be better for the country as a whole if they are not.

We even had that with the video of Biden bragging about the quid-pro-quo firing of the Ukranian prosecutor, and that STILL wasn't investigated.

I agree with you 100%.
This will go nowhere because it will never get past the media spin cycles.

Yeah it's back up on twitter now. It is just amazing how many conservative leaning videos magically suffer technical difficulties when they start trending too much.

On the bright side... if they are working on impeachment, it means they aren't enacting more unconstitutional legislation to take our liberties away.
