I bought the first season of Dark Winds, based on the Tony Hillerman detective novels. It takes place primarily in the Navajo Nation. I really enjoy it. I think it's top notch. I noticed that the executive producers are Robert Redford and George R.R. Martin.

I just saw the first episode of 'The Last of Us' on HBO.

I wasn't thrilled about starting another zombie apocalypse series after just finishing 'Walking Dead', but I like Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), so I gave it a look.

Finished watching BEEF on Netflix. I thought it was good, had some crazy stupid choices people make and wonder why their life is messed up..

Anybody watching 'Succession' on HBO?

It is a drama about a wealthy, powerful family who own a giant U.S. media conglomerate.
Lots of backstabbing even among family members who are all looking for a bigger piece of the pie.

I think they have probably captured as close to a true-to-life picture of that world as possible.
Things are really heating up in Season 4!!

I might even go back and binge watch Seasons 1-3 with my Mrs. because she hasn't seen any of it.

Anybody watching 'Succession' on HBO?

I just finished "Rome" so I'm looking for a new show to start up. I've heard nothing but good things about Succession so it might be next.

Rome was good. It seemed they wrapped it up pretty quickly but it wasn't as bad as some of their shows that have been cancelled.

I just have one complaint with new shows. Well actually I have a lot of complaints but I'll start with this one.

Why is the cinematography so damned dark? I can see blue sky in the background but it looks like sunset, and the interior shots are even worse.

The wife and I watched the first 2 episodes of "The last of us" last night and they were pretty intense.

I also saw the first couple episodes of The Last of Us, and yeah, intense is a good description!

The new series 'Rabbit Hole' with Kiefer Sutherland is good too.
It reminds me of the old 'Mission Impossible' TV series, for those of us who are old enough to remember that.

The Night Agent on Netflix is very good.

Finished "The last of us" last night. It was a good show, really intense, but season 2 is probably not going to be out until probably late 2024, from what I've read. I hate having to wait a year and a half for a new season to begin.
