What are you watching on Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc...?

I don't get the hatred for Tom Cruise. Almost every movie this man has been in was a blockbuster.
I've seen nearly all of his movies and I can't think of one that I didn't like. His Reacher movies were good also.

LOL...Ok.

I guess I just don't like the guy.

He was great in 'A Few Good Men' IMO, but I think his performance was helped by a great supporting cast and an even better script.

Having said that, I don't like the 'Mission Impossible' franchise either. 

'Top Gun' was OK, and I heard the new one is pretty good too, but I'm still not a fanboi.

New one is great. I didn't care for the unnamed bad guys that somehow possessed technically superior fight jets than ours. But the flight scenes are AMAZING.

I don't mind Tom Cruise, but I think he was a HUGE casting error to play Jack Reacher.  When you're making a movie based of a popular book series, it only stands to reason that you'd try to get the main character somewhat close to the book.  Cruise <> Reacher.  That would have been like casting the dirty Harry character with pee wee Herman.

The last Samurai was pretty good too.  Almost too long, but not a bad movie.

Ok...My Mrs. has been wanting us to see a movie in an actual theater for the first time since COVID, so we saw 'Top Gun: Maverick' over the weekend.

I liked it. 

No PC crap, no wokeness, just a very good sequel to the previous film.
A rarity in Hollywood these days, but this one hit the nail on the head.

Wife and I started watching Joe Pickett on Paramount+. The show is pretty good so far. and the music in it is pretty good too, as an added little bonus.

The first Jurassic Park movie was great, after that the frachise went into a steady decline. I'll probably watch it when it gets to streaming video but not in the theater.

It seems everybody likes Top Gun a lot so I'll see that on the big screen for the flight scenes.

At home I just finished Daredevil season 3. The Punisher season 3 is up next.
