I hope Joe is successful in building unity and we're a big, happy family in 4 years.

Having said that, you can't build unity with people who don't want unity and you can't compromise with people who won't compromise.

I'm not optimistic.

How Bout You Apologize for the last Four Years and We Will consider The next Four.
Sounds Like Compromise to me.

for once you're correct, liberals have never wanted to compromise...their way or the highway if you'll be able to afford
to drive on it with gas prices soon going up...

Since 2017 we have had to consistently raise wages to find employees. We used to hire saw operators for $12/hr. We just had to raise the advertised wage to $18 just to get any decent amount resumes. Prior to Covid the record low unemployment was raising wages for everyone, especially minorities. This was because of Trump's tax cuts and removing onerous business killing executive orders of Obama. Biden wants to undo all that and go back to the Obama "we will never see GDP growth above 2% again" policies.

Anecdotally for you sure, statistically wage growth has not occurred in the last four years

Wrong, median household income grew during Trump's tenure. That includes wages as well.

your graphs are also missing cost of living increase.

I'll take that, wages may have gone up, the income disparity has not

I agree, wages have gone up and inflation has as well. Wages are up for even the lowest earners, but as you say the income gap continues to grow. That unfortunately won't be fixed by any freely elected government. The people with money will always be able to buy off the politicians. Also, greed isn't going to go away. The whole "great reset" that the globalists and lefties keep talking about is just a wealth transfer from some rich people to other rich people, it has nothing to do with helping the poor.

I believe a sizable portion of the problem is with people in leadership positions like Trump, Osteen, even back to Reagan telling people that greed is good, that if someone is poor they deserve to be poor, and if someone is rich they deserve to be rich.  As a society we need to make that attitude not acceptable, push it outside the Overton window.

I don't have a dollar in this venture, as I have only been a tourist in your country. I've always like visiting, and I've made some great friends in the land of the free.
I was hoping to get back last year, and this year, but Covid has screwed that up, but my wife and I will be back. We really liked visiting DC in 2018 (it was my wifes favourite place to visit. The Capitol building is an amazing place to tour, along with Arlington, Mt Vernon, and the Smithsonians)

I'm not too up on Republican policies, but it seems the GOP did do some good. But, looking in from outside, my view is that the Republicans could have picked a better leader. Anybody who bleats like Trump did on Twitter, or mocked a disabled person at a public rally, or who talks to the general public like they're five years old, isn't suited to be a leader of country. That guy has serious issues. Just my opinion of course, and yeah, I'm a tourista.

I just hope things go well/better for the next while for you guys. I want to visit a somewhat happier country next time :)

But hey, I drink straight bourbon, and I like me some bbq and fried pickle :)

Trump was an asshole but his policies were rock solid.

Agreed.

1. That's debatable.

2. A national leader is a lot more than his policies.  His attitude, and the attitude he inspires in his followers, is at least as important.  Trump's message was it's ok to be an asshole, it's ok to be greedy, fuck everyone else.  That has caused lasting and significant damage to this nation.

Well it's no secret that I never liked the man. Nothing that The Donald did as President really changed my opinion of him either. Even when his policies dovetailed with my opinions, border security being an example, or sensible trade policy. It always seemed that he chose the most distasteful method of advancing those policies. I for one am will be most grateful not having him be the ONLY thing in the news. Man, I need a break!

Furthermore, it seems that I am listening to a bunch of Chicken Littles around here. Oh My God, the sky is falling!

I'll bet fity Micro bucks that life will continue on more or less as before. If Trump was unable to completely alter life in America in four years what makes you think that Biden will be able to. And if you don't like the way things are going, get out and vote your collective asses off in four years.

I believe that 90% of Trump voters wished he would have shown more empathy and been more Presidential. His downfall was he never hired a chief of staff that could do his bidding for him with Congress.

If it were possible to look at his accomplishments without ever seeing his personality, I believe a vast majority would approve.

Biblical prophesies about Trump:

QuoteJames 1:19 ESV / 621 helpful votes
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;

Proverbs 12:15 ESV / 388 helpful votes
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.

Proverbs 18:13 ESV / 320 helpful votes
If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame.

Proverbs 18:2 ESV / 249 helpful votes
A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.
