A republic, madam, if you can keep it.

QuoteThere is, however, this to consider. The 'conservative' states endeavor to make elections fair by taking steps to identify legal voters and ensure that the votes that are tallied are legitimate. The 'progressive' states endeavor to achieve their desired electoral result by ballot harvesting, softening voter ID rules, and generally looking the other way so long as the right (meaning the left) lever is pulled. I am not sure how an umpire should act when one side tries to play by the rules while the other tries to subvert the rules. What, then, is fair?

Stick to the rules and punish the violator.
Without laws we will be a nation of anarchy

That's the problem
The evidence of corruption and fraud is overwhelming yet
the courts and government at all levels are giving themselves whiplash
averting their eyes from the facts.
If your eyes are clenched shut you cannot see the truth.
This is profoundly depressing. We are witnessing the death of the Republic

And it is about to get worse as the same issues are still in place for our run-off here in GA.  I imagine if they go down the road to pack the supreme court we will find ourselves embroiled in another civil war....

I will be very surprised if the Republicans prevail in the Georgia Senate runoffs
Georgia is like many states nowadays, Oregon, Washington Colorado etc
Deep red states dominated by one or two super blue metropolitan areas.
The rural areas of Georgia cannot possibly generate enough red votes to overcome the fraud
that will take place in Atlanta.

Roosevelt tried to pack the courts in the 30's
The SC kept shooting down his socialist New Deal programs
He threatened the SC justices personally and threatened to pack the court as
well and "compromise" was reached on his New Deal

You had so many splitting the vote on the Loeffler/Warnock runoff, I think there were at least 15 candidates on that ticket and Loeffler, Warnock and Collins were the top 3.  But there were definitely more republicans on the runoff ticket than Dem/Ind.  I liked Doug Collins and voted for him but with all the shenanigans that happened, I wish he and the others would have backed out.
