I'm not sure how many folks here use these with MC (I use them in TopSolid and find them quite helpful), but they're on sale for the next few days (they're now sorta reasonably priced).

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Cheers, Brian

I have one, but it just doesn't jive well with my Mastercam habits.
Mainly the old habit of constantly hitting the ESC key after pretty much everything I do.
That and typing. I'd be constantly moving my left hand from the space mouse to the keyboard.

I have a button set up for that  :)

For myself, I simply won't fly without one..I go back to 2005 and a Spaceball

I go back to around 2000 with the Spaceball.

Like you, I wont work without one. When I am at a customer site, and they dont have one, I find myself "ghosting" for the Spacemouse. It makes life so much easier.

I bought my first one in 2001 (V9 days)
Back then it was a SpaceBall.

I could not get used to it and it sat on my desk for about 6 months unused.
I finally decided I'd spent $240 on it in 2001 money and I was going to learn to use it.
I slowed the resolution down to near zero.
As I developed the muscle memory to use it I sped it up.
I learned to use it but damaged it in the process . By then I'd had it 2 years and is was out of warranty.
I called 3DC and asked where I could send it for repair.
They sent me an RTA, a newer model Spaceball  for free and paid shipping both ways.

The one I've got has an ESC key on the top left of the device FYI....

Also, I *think* the sale ends today if anybody is interested.

my little wirless pilot model doesn't pan/zoom with pdf files (anymore?)
Is that feature now reserved for the higher end models?

Have you tried updating the driver?

It's the basic adobe editor (Adobe Reader) that you are using
You have to subscribe to Adobe Acrobat to get zoom and pan functions back.
I have done a lot of research and have not been able to regain zoom and pan with PDF B/Ps
If you looked really hard on the Adobe website you used to be able to buy a perpetual license
but that was years ago.
I have bought a seat of Nitro Pro.. it will not zoom and pan with my SpacePilot, but I did get the Fit
button to work.
Did I mention that I hate Adobe with a laser bright burning passion??

I need to edit this statement.
I have no access to Adobe Acrobat and do not know if pan and zoom still work.
I guess I could sign up for a free 30 day trial and test it, but why bother??
There is no way in hell I'm going to pay $19.99/month for life to those greedy fucks
so it makes no difference to me if it works or not
