There is absolutely nothing wrong with being outspoken in religious beliefs. Getting carried away and preaching to everybody is a turn off though.

Secular people do a lot of preaching too. Bill Maher does quite a lot of his own preaching, as does people like Elizabeth Warren, and Greta Thunberg. And then there is Meryl Streep and plenty of others from Hollywood who like to preach as they accept awards from their peers.

Most people don't have a problem with preaching they have a problem with people proposing ideas they disagree with.

All of this aside, I am the last person who wants a Theocratic government. A system of religion that can not stand alone on it's own 2 feet without the assertion of Government is unworthy to stand at all. At the same time. Religious zeal from government officials has an undisputed historical basis.

It's the "freedom from" crowd that are ignorant fools. 

They proclaim "The Constitution", "Websters 1st Edition Dictionary", "The Federalist Papers" are "fringe documents".

My ex wife called cps  she was in Texas we were in Indiana. She claimed my children were not being fed.

CPS took my three sons out of their Class rooms separated them and Interviewed each one.

This sounds really bad but what if this happens and the father actually wasn't feeding his kids? How are the authorities supposed to handle this, a full blown court case?

My mom works in preschool in our local elementary school and they've had to go thru CPS a couple times in the last few years.

The schools actually serve a free lunch everyday during summer vacation, even though there are no classes.

Well... since in CPS eyes, "Guilty until proven innocent", yeah, EVERYTHING should be adjudicated. Left to thier own devices CPS will take your kids, put them in Foster Care because that NEVER ends badly.

Here's a funny approach.

How about straight forward.

A knock at my door , an explanation of what was alleged.

At my option I could have thrown open the door and allowed them to see for themselves.

or hired an attorney to dispute the allegations.

As it was each child gave them the exact same menu I had cooked the night before.

And said "Yea we got plenty to eat"

They were also scared thinking they were in trouble.

Or that I had done something wrong. Like rob a bank.
