OK    I understand that and that's a huge problem. They've tried to smear Trump in so many ways that now, even if he is legitimately convicted in a criminal case, regardless of the evidence, nobody (his supporters anyway) is going to believe it.

Imagine, if you were a suspect in a murder. You know you are innocent. Eventually the DA finds that you are innocent because there never was a murder. But then they decide to charge you with obstruction of evidence in a murder case that never happened.  That is essentially what Trump was dealing with in the Russia\Mueller investigation. Now of course the AG decided he was not going to indict him for obstruction in that case, but the Mueller Report thought he should.

Would you ever trust anyone in the bureau again, after going through that?  That has to be Trump's and his voters frame of mind.

If someone lies to you repeatedly and you find out they were lying, how would ever trust anything they do. This includes elections, Covid vaccines risks, etc.

With regards to "evidence"... as we've seen on nearly every front with Trump, the "evidence" has ALL been manufactured. And some of it VERY convincingly, only after you peel back sources and methods do you discover the truth. 

The feds have created this situation where NONE of the alphabet soup can be trusted to even tell you what time it is. So yeah, pardon my HEAVY skepticism. And I'm not even taking into consideration the conspiracies out there which if even 1% of them are right, they paint the feds in an even worse light than they already show.

Russian hoax wasn't uncovered overnight and neither were any of the other fabrications and embellishments.

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for a while. Maybe he doesn't deserve it in many people's eyes, the fact of the matter is until he brushed up against the machine... none of this was happening.
