Even though I am mostly retired, I still make a little extra designing fixtures for an Investment casting foundry.

I need solid models of a few items and I cant seem to find them on the manufacturers website.

I am looking for a solid of a Bison 5" 3 jaw chuck 3205-5. Also need a solid for a Starrett #25w Roller Contact.

Is there a website that house (step) solids of common metalworking items?

Thanks

I wish Bison would have CAD files easily accessible. Ive dug high & low & couldn't find one. That being said, Toolmex has nearly identical 3 jaw chuck offerings, with CAD files you can find.

https://www.toolmex.com/itemdetail/3-866-0500P

We now own a few of the Toolmex chucks because of this.

Some times if you contact the manufacturers directly and explain that you need it for cad simulation purposes they might share some solids.

I've always been impressed what these guys have for parts and models to support them. When designing fixturing they made it all too easy to grab the components and build a purchase list that I could email in to my manager to get things ordered =)
