First, I'm not looking for sympathy. If I talked about this with my family, it would only worry them

I had a colonoscopy yesterday. It was a little over a year since my last. At that time, I was told they removed multiple large polyps, but required no follow up, except to repeat in a year.

Polyps are supposed to be very slow growing, thus, for most people, a colonoscopy every ten years is the recommendation.

Yesterday, the nurse told me they found several polyps and sent them for biopsy. And I follow up with the surgeon in a week.
The last time I had a follow up with the surgeon was when I was told I had colon cancer.

So, I am a little worried. Just a little.

I'm praying for ya, buddy. I hope things go well. How long ago was the last bout with Colon Cancer?

April of 2009. I was very lucky. Got it all with surgery and didn't require any chemo or radiation therapy. My ex-wife had to go through all that just to shrink the cancer (stomach cancer) enough so they could do surgery.

I know it's tricky to find people to talk to some times.
Glad you feel comfortable sharing here.
I'll add you to my prayers.

I'm hoping that everything will turn out right for you.

To That end a little story. About six months ago we had guests at our B&B and over breakfast the woman told of her mother's struggles with colon cancer. The mother was not doing well with the results of the treatments that she was getting and the doctors were basically telling all concerned that they should prepare for the worst. This woman staying with us is a nurse and did some research in the internet which led her to a study on the effectiveness of using an aspirin regimen to prevent the formation of polyps and had her mother start an aspirin regimen. The doctors predictably objected strenuously, they had never heard of this treatment. The woman's mother has not had a single polyp in the several years since she started taking aspirin. Now, of course we all know of the medical establishments low opinion of aspirin, there's no money in it.
