I have an all in one Dell pc that I got the week of Christmas Vacation. I don't use it that often; the last time I tried to wake it up to use the screen came up briefly then went away. It was still getting power because there was some kind of back light that turned the black screen to gray. I don't know if I accidentally turned something off or what. Nothing I've tried so far helps.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same one. as my second computer.

Shut it down and see if the set-up screen is visible.

I literally have to unplug it also. and give it a few minutes to retry.

I have also had to go back to Default settings.

I think Dell had an update that was causing the Issue. :o

The issue with mine was more of an age factor. I believe which is why I replaced it with a Lenovo.

and updated windows. :)

I'm willing to try anything that's legal and not to strenuous. A man's got to know his limitations.

Sometimes computers have a hard time waking up, I never let mine sleep, it's always on,no screen saver I just turn my monitors off.
Or you can just turn it off when you're done.

In your case I would just hold the power button down for 4 seconds to shut it off, wait 15-30 seconds then turn it back on. That should fix it, unless you have something going bad but that's unlikely with a pc that's only 4 months old.

I discovered that my computer has a diagnostic button. When I pushed it, it told me that Windows had failed to load properly and gave me a link to fix it. It seems to be working now.

Just letting you know the all in one seems to have this prob about every 3 months.

Power outages have the same effect.

The flashing orange button.

unplug and restart seems to work its just a minor PITA.

I've had mine 6 years and it still boots eventually sooo. 8)

And the McAfee drives me Nutzz. ::)

It seems to me the all in ones are just laptops with big screens.

Uninstall McAffee and use Windows Defender. It has (at least on my rig) a lighter system overhead footprint. Sucks we even need that 💩... but there are people in the cyber world that deserve to be sent through wood chippers.
