Last night I heard from someone, they(AD) got MDC and maybe DNCMAX but that part was unsure...

It's strange how it evidently happened but there is so little news about what actually was purchased.

I used to follow the old HSMWorks forum.
It remained alive at least 5 years after AD bought HSMWorks
At the time the guys were saying the software was static and there was minimal support for SW users
If figured it would be dead and gone by now, but it's still available.
I have no idea if it being actively maintained and upgraded.
You would think they'd have to be doing something with it to still be offering it 14 years later

Wow, HSMWorks still available? When I had a bit to do with it a long time ago, it seemed like it had a lot of potential. That was just after AD had gotten their claws on it. Back then, it had way more function than InventorHSM, and Fusion was in its infancy.

I recall the AD people I was reporting to, telling me that the big plan was to migrate the functionality from HSMWorks to InventorHSM, and to make InventorHSM the leading product. They did say that they would continue to develop HSMWorks, but I could see the writing on the wall then.

HSM Works was originally slated for sunset but my contacts tell me there were enough enough users to keep it alive. Here's the current System Requirements.

I hope HSM works is still alive as the local HS I mentor is stuck with using it. The WI state PLTW charter dictates that in order for the school to receive their grant they have to use it and other autodesk software  :realmad:

Unless they school can come up with their own monies to fund their programs their poked.

Here's the schools business website for what they offer for products:

I used to follow the old HSM Works forum and the guys there said HSM Works still ran but was a static release getting no attention from developers. This was several years ago. I think they finally took that old forum down. Most of the people there had pulled the knives out of their backs, written off their investment in HSM Works and moved on.
