Rumor has it that Rory may sign with LIV for something like $850 million. 

Tiger Woods has been very careful about his comments concerning the LIV all along, and now he is even publicly saying he thinks merging the two leagues is probably the best thing for the future of the game.

Like you said, with the astronomical amounts of money they are throwing around, I wouldn't blame Rory or anyone else for wanting to get in on that.

edit: Hard to believe but Jack Nicklaus earned around $9 million in prize money over his whole career, but now that's about average for a PGA tour player who has a good YEAR.  Back in Jack's day they probably never imagined in their wildest dreams that guys would be raking in hundreds of millions just for signing their name to an LIV contract.
