Quote from: Dan_AKA_ROY23 post_id=11549 time=1621866454 user_id=82Series Finale of Mare of Easttown this Sunday. It grew on me. Very well done. Wishing it wasn't a 1 year series. Last couple episodes were really good.

I didn't see the last episode yet, but I can't wait! (PLEASE NO SPOILERS!!)

As to the ongoing beer controversy, Mare finally drank a Yuengling in the next-to-last episode, and they actually showed the whole label!  :w00t:

Last episode of 'Mare of Easttown' was excellent.
Lots of twists and turns, and a few very emotional moments.
All in all, a very well-done series!

Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime pretty good. Saw first 4 episodes of season 1. 4 to go then season 2.

Nephew says The Man in the High Castle (Amazon Prime) is good. I'll check it out. Alt history in 60's America (Axis powers won WW II)

The wife and I are watching Agents of Shield currently. It started kinda slow but when you got to know the characters it got better. We're near the end of the 1st season now and it's getting kinda crazy with the plot twists. If it keeps getting crazier it might get unwatchable before long but if they can reign the crazy in it might be alright. There are 6 seasons so apparently a healthy number of people like it.

I've heard good things about the man in the high castle. I'll give that a watch soon. 🙂

Rotten Tomatoes, etc. give it very high ratings (The Man in the High Castle). Plus my nephew is a good judge on series to watch.

Hacks decent (HBO MAX). Jean Smart plays a character similar to Joan Rivers, but differences too.

I'm in season 3 now. It started out a little slow but it's a good series. It's a dark show but gets addictive over time.

I just started watching the new Discovery series, 'Hunting Atlantis'.

So far it has been interesting to say the least.
The main researcher has a theory that Plato's time frame was off when he wrote about the advanced city that suddenly disappeared, which explains why solid evidence of its existence was never found.
I'm not sure if they will find anything definitive, but it is an interesting path they are pursuing which nobody seems to have tried before.

There was a show called 'Appalachian Outlaws' a few years back about the ginseng trade in West Virginia, both legal and illegal.
Seemed like a pretty serious bunch of rednecks who would do whatever it takes to harvest their crop and protect their sweet spots.
I'm not sure if the show is still a thing, but it seemed like a really cut-throat business among the locals, and something strangers should probably avoid altogether.
