Project 2025 - The good? The bad? The ugly?  Good for the Country? Bad for the Country?

Any of this stuff actually have a chance of being considered or passing?  Any of it worth passing?  Is it just something put forward to piss off the left?

Some of it sounds absolutely insane to me, which makes me think it's some cage rattling before an election.

Been out picking wild mushrooms again?

I have no idea what that is.

They've been talking about it on some podcasts I've listened to. I think John Oliver put his comedic spin on it over the weekend.

I don't know much about it other than Trump has been pushing some of the policy during his rally's and what little I've heard over the last couple of weeks.

I'd post the John Oliver video but I'm guessing it wouldn't be well received.

I've been recommending some of that for decades. Constitutionally speaking, there is nothing that would prevent a POTUS from eliminating many of them.

Abolish the Dept. of Education - there is ZERO need for this abomination of taxpayer waste.
Abolish the National Endowment of the Arts. Not that I do not think art is important.. I do. I just think it should be funded entirely by private sources.
Abolish the ATF - There is ZERO need for these fucking murderers. Any ATF personnel that took part in (even if they went to go get coffee) Waco, Ruby Ridge, and the Bill Walker raid among others... they all need to face a firing squad. Period. They are evil shitbags they need to be eliminated from the earth.... ESPECIALLY Janet Reno. She signed off on Waco without asking a SINGLE fucking question. NOT ONE!
Abolish the FBI - keep the good field agents and roll them into the U.S. Marshalls. All the appointees... unemployment line for those lying bastards. The FBI is nothing more than weapon against political adversaries today and has outlived it's usefulness.
Roll the Dept. of the Interior together with the Bureau of Land Management and eliminate the duplicates.

Next, by executive order, part of the Census questionnaire would add what WE THE PEOPLE think are "essential services" so when the government shuts down because they can get their heads out of their asses, WE decide what stay open, not them with ONE exception; Congressional payroll (Congress, their staffs, Senators, their staffs, NOBODY involved in the legislative process gets a dime. No back pay. They lose it. You don't do your fucking job, your WHOLE organization doesn't get paid, just like the rest of us). Payroll shuts down immediately. NONE of those rat bastards gets paid until they get that shit figured out.  So if the the next FY Budget isn't signed until January 15th, they don't get paid from October 1st until January 15th. They will lose out on 3 months pay. Gone, forever. That woudl never fly, but I'll tell you what, there would never be another shutdown.

There is SO much that could be done. The time for a governemt diet is long gone. She needs bariatric surgery and liposuction. And it starts with us cutting that drug addict off.

Some of it will be bad news for Incog. Federal ban on pornography.

I worry about re-implementing Schedule F and expansion of presidential powers. Some of these things (most of them to me) seem like they could lead to a decline of our illusion of democracy.

POTUS has power within the Executive Branch. That's by design. POTUS has power to appoint, and likewise terminate appointment as POTUS sees fit. That's nit an expansion of powers, it's merely exercising the powers alotted.

There is an element of tradition  in that space of power being exercised, however, "tradition" has dug us into the hole we are in and if DRASTIC measures to eviscerate the unelected bureaucrat government are not taken soon,  we will not have a Republic to save inside of two generations. Worthless, unelected bureaucrat shitbirds have ruined this nation and their positions MUST be terminated.

How ironic would it be for the porn industry to start lobbying Republicans?

That'd be awesome.

Porn isn't the problem. The problem is some people can't handle it and become addicted. So instead of helping people, they want it cancelled.

I'm not an expert by any means,  but I've been reading that young men have been having a difficult time working up the balls to socialize and ask women out on dates and have been increasingly turning to porn for an outlet.

Also something about porn screwing up their expectations.

What ever happened to a good sears magazine lol
