"And the other injured crew member's weight was reportedly above both the ejection seat's recommended limit of 211 pounds and the Air Force's recommendation of 245 pounds. They weighed in at nearly 260 pounds during medical treatment"

It's okay, they identified as 210 pounds :coffee:

I think it's safe to say some careers are over
Who you trying to kid, this is the government we're talking here... there's probably going to be promotions.

How I see this playing out... because it ALWAYS plays out this way; ALL of the boxes were checked, "recccommendations" were ignored because they are not check boxes. The people did not fail, the system failed. When the system fails, there's zero accountability because none is required, because it was the system that failed and the system is not a person that can be held accountable.

This is why NOBODY lost their job when Afghanistan fell. NCO's did not fail, the system failed. Junior Commissioned Officers did not fail, the system failed. Senior Commissioned Officers did not fail, the system failed. Flag Officers did not fail... The. System. Failed. Lose $85,000,000,000 worth of taxpayers military hardware, you're solid. Good to go. Squared away.

The military didn't fail ... they were following a direct order from their civilian boss, Joe Biden.

and if you watch any videos of Hamas in Gaza, you see a crap ton of really nice M4 carbines with state of the art
optical gear attached.

The irony is thick here.
The US military left $80 billion worth of gear in Afghanistan, paid for by US tax payers.
The Taliban sells the small arms to Hamas, who no doubt pay for it with US tax dollars donated as aid money.

So the US tax payer paid for these M4's twice and they are now being used to kill our allies.

That is one thing I loved about Trump. He shut that spigot off on his first day in office.
and Biden turned it back on his first day in office.

You may be thinking thinking FAR too highly of the man Darth Vaxxer a.k.a. Lloyd Austin has become. He's a LONG ways awy from that Ranger tabbed butter bar. That man would not have shit the bed like that. Unless he's been failing his way all the way op the chain of command. I've listened ot a few podcasts with people that served with him and BITD he was a good leader. Today... not so much.

Commander fired

QuoteRAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - According to a statement released from Air Force Global Strike Command, Ellsworth Air Force Base will be seeing at least one new commander.

Col. Mark Kimball, 28th Operations Group commander, was "relieved of command" Friday. The statement says this was due to "a loss of trust and confidence in his ability to command, based on the findings of an Accident Investigation Board report into the Jan. 4 crash."
