The Olympics should celebrate sport, tenacity, and gratitude to be able to represent one's nation... and if we must, technology related to sport. That's it.

I'm not even down with politics in the Olympics. When the US Boycotted Moscow Winter Olympics in 1980 (IIRC) it was wrong. It was a slap in the face to all those athletes that spent 4 YEARS preparing to compete against the world and they were denied that opportunity.  It was bullshit. Put it aside for a couple weeks for goodness sakes.

This Paris Olympics... enough is enough.

I mean, lots of kids watch RuPaul's Drag Race too. It's become fairly popular with the younger generation. 

The difference is you pretty much know what you're getting into with RuPaul. Not one parent should expect what was shown at the Olympics opening ceremony.

Thankfully my kids don't watch much TV and we are spending the week camping and fishing, away from that bullshit. The opening ceremony emphasized why I have no need to watch them, add that to the commercial breaks every 2 minutes.

They've taken the video down on their website and accounts on X that are using copies are being threatened
with copyright violations and being locked down for said copyright violations
At least one American tech company has pulled all the advertising from the games as well.
No skin off my nose... I personally found it revolting, and definitely not family friendly,
but the last time I actually watched the Olympics was the LA Olympics in 1984.
I was doing 2 weeks in county jail and it was the only thing on TV
