The 92 team would still be the class of the field today. 

Yes, the competition has gotten much better, but the Bronze in 2004 for Team USA was still almost an embarrassment.   

The 92 squad were never even close to being in danger of losing a game, and in fact they never even called a timeout through the whole tournament.

I don't believe we will ever see another team completely dominate an Olympic sport like that.

We have the Commies to thank for that. BITD we used send our best High School and College uncompensated AMATEUR athletes to compete. Well, in the USSR, East Germany, China, etc... there is no such thing as an  uncompensated AMATEUR athlete, they are ALL professional athletes paid by their respective governments to train and compete.

So, here we are, putting our best against their best in the unlimited class.

I thought it was a great Olympics. I probably watched more this year than the previous 4 Olympics combined.

Technology is great. Record a block of the events you want, watch them with a delay and skip all the stuff you don't want to see.

The womens basketball final was one of the best games ever. It would have been like our Hockey team beating the Russians in 1980 for them, and it almost happened.

The American women did great, and the guys did really good too.

Why in the hell can't we win a 4 x 100 race?!?!

I just can't get behind most of the newer shit they added. Break dancing? Kayaking? Skate boarding? Yeah, it takes tremendous skill but not in the Olympics. IMHO.

The break dancing was stupid. Not a fan.
I like the sports were its obvious who the winner is. The guy who runs the fastest, lifts the most, jumps the highest...the winner is obvious. Anything that requires a judge looses my interest.
